Branding strategies for social media
A few things of note in this issue:
- Holiday planning is in full swing, so I included two pieces about advertising for the holidays here. Retailers should expect a 40% more social messages this year, so please be kind to yourself during this time.
- Later (an Instagram management software) released their previously paid feature of Linkin.bio for free. This is huge news if you are constantly changing the link in your bio.
- If you’ve read a few of my issues, you’ll notice that the consult bar at the bottom is gone. In an effort to focus on myself & major life changes, I will not be accepting any new projects or clients for the remainder of this year. If you need a referral, I’m always happy to provide one.
Thanks & hope you’re having a good week!
5 Actionable Strategies for Social Media Branding
Building social media brand recognition can seem daunting, but we’ve broken it down into actionable steps to build a consistent brand presence.
I was asked to write the above for a mid-career level marketer. Each strategy has actionable takeaways. They’re applicable to large & small companies.
Twitter announced that it will ban all political advertising. It’s testing emoji reactions in DM messages.
Facebook added search result ads for all advertisers (it was previously for a test group). It’s testing: “suggested time” prompts when you schedule posts. It changed how it calculates impressions, so your analytics might have a drastic difference in the last two weeks.
Instagram added: “series” option for IGTV and a new option to control which 3rd party apps have access to your account. It’s testing: following list categories for better management (thank goodness!) and group stories.
