Hi friends,

I won’t lie, I’m feeling a little discombobulated right now. My head is feeling stuffy because I’m reeling from some disheartening info that I can’t share here. This aside, I am generally doing okay. I’ve recovered in time zones for my jet lag, but my digestion system is still catching up. I was able to spend the past weekend relaxing and taking a breath. The original goal for this post was to cover my travel packing list, but I don’t have the energy to search for all the links.

Instead, I’d like to talk about the feeling of FOMO in digital communities. Most recently, for me, it’s been Threads and Bluesky. But I’ve also seen this for TikTok, Clubhouse, YouTube, Discord, Mastodon, BeReal, Snapchat, Substack Notes, Periscope; my god, how many of these are out there??
